2 Corinthians 9:7

7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

We want every person engaged in faithful obedience of returning to God a portion of what he has entrusted to us. This includes not only the financial resources he has entrusted to us, but also our time, energy, and other resources he has given to us. We believe the Bible is clear that we are to give sacrificially not out of compulsion, but because of what God has done for you.

This is why this pillar is listed last. For you must first love God, before you can grow to be more like Him. When you have grown to be like Him, you will want to serve like Him. When you serve like Him, you will give like Him. Christ gave his all, because of the love he had for the Father and others. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. This is the first and greatest commandment.
